” How to adjust a RC helicopter and it’s rotor tracking ?” – A question commonly asked by beginners.
The first thing you must do is track the rotor blades when hovering your brand-new helicopter. If you’re just starting out, try to find someone who’s got experience to help you adjust the rotors.
Firstly, attach a strip of different colored tape close to the ends of each blade. Red and yellow or any highly visible color will do. The colored tape makes identifying which rotor blade is out of track much easier.
Get someone to hover the helicopter for you while you check out the rotor-disc circumference. You should notice a single circle if the blades’ in track, and two circles if the blades are out of track.
You’ll have to fix this by manually adjusting the top blade to match the lower one ( refer to your helicopter’s instruction manual for detailed instructions on adjusting linkages ).
Rinse and repeat this procedure. If you do it right, you’ll notice a big difference in the handling of your new RC helicopter.
