Honey Bee Helicopter Guide's Author - Mark

Hi and thanks for visiting The Honey Bee Helicopter Guide!

I started with my first micro heli back in 2005 and it has grown into a full-fledged hobby of mine since then. I remember browsing a local hobbyist store one day when I came across this micro helicopter that fit in the palm of my hand. I thought at the time that it was the coolest toy I’ve ever seen. It was a cheap brand ( I can’t even recall what brand it was to be honest ), and it was mainly made of plastic. Long story short, I took it home got it to take off and it crashed after 30 seconds of flying onto my tiled kitchen floor. I was quite devastated as you could imagine

The  mini rc helicopter was in 3 pieces. But luckily it costed me only $30. But the initial 30 seconds was one of the most fun I’ve ever had in my life! It was enough to get me absolutely hooked.

I started researching more about this crazy hobby and found that there were communities out there who took this radio controlled helicopter craze pretty darned seriously. There were some guys out there with crazy skills – doing all sorts of tricks and stunts with their electric rc helicopters..It was mind-blowing to me at that time.

Since then, I’ve owned 3 mid range and high end helis, from different brands. But I’ve always preferred the Honey Bee RC brand. It was just easier and cheaper for me to get parts. I recommend you try Honey Bee if you don’t know where to start. Other brands are good too of course.
